Complaints & safeguarding

If something isn't right, we want to know — and if someone is at risk, we act. Here's how to raise a concern, and where to turn in an emergency.

If you're unhappy with something we've done

Please tell us. Because Arkand is founder-led, a complaint goes straight to the person accountable for the care — not into a system. The quickest way is to call 020 8050 0095 or email team@arkandcare.co.uk.

We'll acknowledge what you've told us promptly, look into it properly, and come back to you with what we've found and what we'll do about it. If we've got something wrong, we'll say so and put it right.

A note on the CQC

Arkand is not registered with the Care Quality Commission, and we don't provide regulated personal care. That doesn't lower the standard we hold ourselves to. We take every concern seriously, and we take safeguarding seriously, whether or not an activity is regulated.

Safeguarding — if an adult is at risk

If you believe an adult is being harmed, neglected or is at risk, please act. You don't need to be certain, and you don't need to go through us first.

  • In an emergency, or if someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
  • To raise a non-urgent safeguarding concern, contact your local council's adult social care team (the adult safeguarding service for the person's home area).
  • You can also call the police on 101 for non-emergencies.

If a concern about someone's safety reaches us, we will share information with the relevant authorities where we need to in order to protect them, as described in our Privacy Notice.

Still not satisfied?

If we haven't been able to resolve your complaint between us, you can raise it with your local authority's adult social care team, who can advise on adult social care in your area. And you can always contact the Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman for independent review of adult social care complaints.
